Luana aka Loopyful Design

My wanderings have created my personal way of seeing things and expressing myself artistically.
My work is mostly made of bright pops of colour, cute doodles drawing, and a blend of freehand sketches and vector illustrations.

Weirdly enough, at 14, I knew graphic design was my path, but after a deep dive with my high school studies, I sought adventure in an art course in Frascati, as the jobs landscape revealed harder than expected. With Maestro Gianfranco Cresciani, I discovered Stained Glass, Mosaic, Painting, and more.

The newly discovered passion for glass led me to London, and at Aaronson Noon, I spent four years as a creative cold glass finisher.

My pieces, that I had created on my free time, found homes in local design shows and private collections: one in particular, in the Dan Klein and Alan J. Poole Private Collection, now at the National Museum of Scotland.

Back in Rome in 2006, my love for graphic design persisted, and I have started a new chapter of my life again, working with computers, laser-cut machines, mastering multitasking and a very different set of skills!,

Craving fresh air in 2019, Iceland called. Joining the I DON'T SPEAK ICELANDIC team in Reykjavík's souvenir shops, I sketched my new life's inspiration. Kept drawing and creating on my spare time (also during breaks!) I got into some interesting deals with the company licensing designs to sell in their shops.

Job loss in July 2020 became a catalyst. Enter LOOPYFUL DESIGN, my brand of Icelandic-inspired designs and gadgets. The following year, I, along with talented female artists, launched LOONA, a pop-up Design Shop in Reykjavík.

Now, I sell online on major print on demand on-line shops, and my local giftware graces shops in Reykjavík, including the National Museum, City Museum and the Maritime Museum. Life's an adventure, and I'm riding the creative wave!
